ABP Student Association Inaugural Meeting

On Tuesday, September 27th, the inaugural meeting of the newly elected ABP Student Association took place at the Opera Café at Landmark. The SA officers (the president- Hamad Al Abdulla, male and female vice-presidents-Ali Al Ansari and Aljazi Al Mannai, secretary-Mohammed Al Salat, and treasurer-Naif Al Kaabi) and class representatives celebrated the elections results in the company of Dr. John Aydelott, the ABP Acting Director, and four ABP advisors to the Student Association: Ms. Monika Counts, Ms. Nadine Malcolm, Ms. Magda Rostron and Mr. Gene Bilodeau.

Dr. Aydelott congratulated all members of the Association and encouraged them to be actively involved in the task of building the ABP community throughout the academic year. Ms. Counts, coordinator of the ABP Student Services, speaking on behalf of the SA advisors, offered guidance and assistance to the budding student leaders. The president and both vice-presidents spoke briefly at the meeting, outlining their goals for the next few weeks, particularly with reference to planned Ramadan events and the formation of student clubs.
