In today's rapidly developing, technology driven world, students need to possess the fundamental tools to be successful in any reputable university. Technology has been integrated into all disciplines and will continue to be at the core of modern educational practices.

The computer department's goal is to prepare students for the demanding and fast paced environment of university life. Students are expected to develop positive attitudes to technology uses that support lifelong learning, effective communication and academic productivity. Moreover, the curriculum supports skills which are necessary in all academic disciplines. In order to achieve this goal computer applications are used to construct projects such as organizing publications and producing other creative work and communication with a wide variety of audiences.

Our courses are structured to meet the needs of students in relation to their English ability and their prior computer knowledge.

The purpose of the computer curriculum is to develop computer skills, attitudes and behaviors needed for academic success. This is done by subject specific reading, speaking, listening, and writing opportunities which expands student's English language capabilities. The computer curriculum is divided into three levels; essential, intermediate and advanced. Over the course of the year each covers five modules; word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, communication and integration.
