ABP Efforts for Tsunami Relief

The plight of the survivors of the December tsunami had an impact on the students of the Academic Bridge Program who planned together to determine how they could best help the people who were struggling to rebuild their lives.  In order to feel involved in the rebuilding efforts, the ABP Student Association held several events during January and February to raise money for tsunami relief.  Among their initiatives was a series of after-school movies for both students and staff.  Everyone was asked to donate to the cause and they gave generously.

On February 15, all ABP faculty, staff, and students had the opportunity to participate in a food fund-raiser.  Members of the Student Association brought cakes, cookies, sweets, and other snacks and all of the attendees raised additional monies for the tsunami victims.  The tsunami relief efforts will be an on-going project for students of the Academic Bridge Program throughout the current school year.
